Farm to Table Dining in Salmon Arm, BC

I love the concept of farm-to-table dining and enjoy tasting inspired dishes of fresh, local products created by talented chefs. Locally grown vegetables and herbs are much more flavourful and support the economy within the region where they are grown.

I had the pleasure of being hosted at Harpur Family Farm’s local media and community leaders’ dinner in preparation for their 100% local farm-to-table dinner series. I was pretty curious about al fresco dining in a pasture and jumped at the chance to attend. From the moment I arrived at the farm, Sydney, Steve, and all their guests warmly greeted me and made me feel at home.

Farm-to-Table Dining

Chef Darren Simpson created a delicious four-course dinner for us using fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, and herbs. Each course was paired with local wines. I chose the beef option over chicken and have nothing but good things to say about every dish served.

Harpur Family Farm is owned by Steve Harpur and Sydney Barron. During business hours, you can drop by for baked goodies, hayrides, and, in the fall, a pumpkin patch!
